Well it's been a long weekend for me, doing 2 projects in 1 weekend sucks and I'm late on this blog.
I haven't been watching my shows lately because quite frankly I've lost interest like most viewers in the country. Top Chef has continued to tumble with a 0.7 rating only reaching 1.5 million viewers. It won't be canceled because the end of the season is only a week or two away. No Ordinary family dropped 23% in the past week, according to TV by the Numbers to a 1.7 rating, reaching only 6.6 million viewers. If no ordinary family decides to keep going with shows, then they may cancel within two months. Like I said earlier, I'm one of the people that has stopped watching both shows because honestly I have no more interest for desserts and people take making food really seriously. Also No Ordinary Family is really slow as far as getting to action scenes and everything. I thought it would be like the incredibles but it really isn't. Good luck to both these shows in the future!

I havn't been keeping up on my shows
I havn't been keeping up on my shows but I looked up some ratings for No Ordinary Family and Top Chef. No Ordinary Family continues to drop as it has dropped to a 2.0. I thought this show would acctually go somewhere but I guess it hasn't. It might be headed towards cancellation within the next few weeks. Top Chef has also went down to a 0.6 only reaching 1.3 million. I don't think this will cancel because it is inseason but we'll see.

Things are heating up on Top Chef and No Ordinary Family is one great show so far!
Top Chef is heating up as 5 contestants so far have been eliminated. Each week the desserts are getting a little more interesting. Last episode, it was all about the Edible Fashion. According to last week (October 7th) Top Chef reached to 1.180 million viewers, making it a 1.2/2 HH and .6/2 to ages 18-49. This is surprising to me because this show is really not that bad. It very entertaining and it creates alot of drama, especially when Seth was there because no one really liked his attitude. I still believe this show will stay consistent on where it's at in the ratings and will not be canceled.
No Ordinary Family is now one of my favorite shows on TV. I was pretty excited when this premiered because I loved the movie the incredibles and this reminded me of it. If you haven't seen this I highly recommend watching it. It's on at 8 pm on Tuesdays and it's for all age groups. On premiere night, No ordinary family reached a little over 11 million house holds, giving it a 3.3 rating. 3 weeks later their ratings surprisingly dropped from a 3.3 to a 2.4, only reaching 6.7 million house holds. I pretty shocked at this right now because I believe this is a great show to watch with the family. It's on at a perfect time during the night but it's competition is a NCIS and Glee which were 4.0 and above on Wednesday. No Ordinary family won;t be canceled but it won't go any higher then what it is in the ratings.

YSU President Event
I also attended the inauguration of Dr. Anderson. It was really special seeing a president being sworn into office and seeing everyone applaud her. Her speech was all about believing. She really does believe that this University and the community will improve during her term as president. Even though I was sitting in the back row, it was really something to see her up there giving her speech, others talking about her and also the orchestra playing. If you missed this event, then you really missed out on a once in a life time event to see.

Episode 2 of Top Chef
I know I haven't written a blog in a week and a half but here we go. First of all this dessert on the left is the winning dessert this week. The first episode of Top Chef started at 11 pm which wasn't bad but still was a little too late in my book. Gail seems very professional and a really good host so far. Judges are very strict and extremely knowledgeable about flavors. Some of the things they were saying were very confusing, but alot of the dishes looked delicious. Especially when they did the chocolate dishes. Now the contestants are a little bit strange, I mean they're regular people but one of the contestants said, " Making a dessert is alot like giving birth to a baby." I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. Then on the second episode, 2 people cried. Seth, who I hate broke down on a fire challenge and you don't even get eliminated from it. There is drama going on because Seth is becoming the smart ass chef that over does his dishes and wants to over achieve when he doesn't have to. This is still a great show and the time slot went down this week with it starting at 10. However, it ended at 11:15 which was a really weird time to end a show. My favorite dessert this week was the bombe that was made of lime and margarita and tequila glaze. If anyone hasn't watched this show, I'd highly recommend it!

First Blog about Top Chef
I've never really watched top chef but I thought what the hell, why not watch the interesting foods that they make and see them being judged over it. Plus my girlfriend loves these types of shows so she could help me critique. I guess this will be another version of Top Chef except for this is nothing but desserts. The schedule time is good but also very bad as well. According to Bravo, it premieres at 11:00 pm Wednesday September 15th, right after the season finale of Top Chef D.C. This is good because you are pretty much watching two hours of Top Chef. However this is a really bad time for a premiere because 11:00 at night is maybe just a little too late. Viewers are either going to bed, or about to watch the 11:00 news before bed. A good premiere time for a show is between the the 9-10 slots when that's maybe the last thing that viewers watch for the night. If anyone has comments about the scheduling, let me know because I think the scheduling for this show sucks. There will be 12 contestants, 3 judges and your host is Gail Simmons. I've never heard of any of the judges or host but we'll see how they are and how the show goes has it premieres Wednesday.
