YSU President Event
I also attended the inauguration of Dr. Anderson. It was really special seeing a president being sworn into office and seeing everyone applaud her. Her speech was all about believing. She really does believe that this University and the community will improve during her term as president. Even though I was sitting in the back row, it was really something to see her up there giving her speech, others talking about her and also the orchestra playing. If you missed this event, then you really missed out on a once in a life time event to see.

Episode 2 of Top Chef
I know I haven't written a blog in a week and a half but here we go. First of all this dessert on the left is the winning dessert this week. The first episode of Top Chef started at 11 pm which wasn't bad but still was a little too late in my book. Gail seems very professional and a really good host so far. Judges are very strict and extremely knowledgeable about flavors. Some of the things they were saying were very confusing, but alot of the dishes looked delicious. Especially when they did the chocolate dishes. Now the contestants are a little bit strange, I mean they're regular people but one of the contestants said, " Making a dessert is alot like giving birth to a baby." I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. Then on the second episode, 2 people cried. Seth, who I hate broke down on a fire challenge and you don't even get eliminated from it. There is drama going on because Seth is becoming the smart ass chef that over does his dishes and wants to over achieve when he doesn't have to. This is still a great show and the time slot went down this week with it starting at 10. However, it ended at 11:15 which was a really weird time to end a show. My favorite dessert this week was the bombe that was made of lime and margarita and tequila glaze. If anyone hasn't watched this show, I'd highly recommend it!

First Blog about Top Chef
I've never really watched top chef but I thought what the hell, why not watch the interesting foods that they make and see them being judged over it. Plus my girlfriend loves these types of shows so she could help me critique. I guess this will be another version of Top Chef except for this is nothing but desserts. The schedule time is good but also very bad as well. According to Bravo, it premieres at 11:00 pm Wednesday September 15th, right after the season finale of Top Chef D.C. This is good because you are pretty much watching two hours of Top Chef. However this is a really bad time for a premiere because 11:00 at night is maybe just a little too late. Viewers are either going to bed, or about to watch the 11:00 news before bed. A good premiere time for a show is between the the 9-10 slots when that's maybe the last thing that viewers watch for the night. If anyone has comments about the scheduling, let me know because I think the scheduling for this show sucks. There will be 12 contestants, 3 judges and your host is Gail Simmons. I've never heard of any of the judges or host but we'll see how they are and how the show goes has it premieres Wednesday.
